Kazakhstan Crisis Not as Bad as Many Think

Kazakhstan is not a case of yet another authoritarian state descending into chaos. On the contrary, the largest economy of Central Asia weathered a major political crisis threatening its stability, and rather quickly. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed a new Cabinet and declared that economic and political reforms will accelerate. Policy continuity is for all to see.
