Dr. Jacqui True FASSA FAIIA is Vice Chancellor’s Distinguished Professor of International Relations and Director of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence against Women at Monash University. Her research focuses on conflict-related sexual and gender-based violence, feminist diplomacy, and political economy analysis. She is the author of 22 books and over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters including “Women, Peace and Security in Afghanistan” (De Gruyter, 2025) with Farkhondeh Akbari, “Feminist Foreign Policy Analysis” (Bristol University Press, 2025) with Karin Aggestam, and “War Economy: Gendered Circuits of Violence and Capital” (Routledge RIPE Series, 2026) with Aida A. Hozić. Her book “The Political Economy of Violence Against Women” (Oxford University Press, 2012) won the American Political Science Association’s 2012 biennial prize for the best book in human rights among other awards.
