

David Raikow
Senior Fellow
David Raikow is the Senior Fellow for Political Systems at the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy. He specializes in the diplomacy, negotiation theory, the application of complex systems theory to political systems, and the impact of systemic corruption on political systems.
Prior to joining the New Lines Institute, Raikow served for more than 13 years as a working level diplomat, political analyst/advisor, and head of office in United Nations field missions in Afghanistan, Libya, South Sudan, and Sudan. These positions included advising international and national political leadership, direct support to international mediation and peace processes, and long-term “deep field” deployments in conflict zones.Raikow holds a JD from the UC Berkeley School of Law and a BA from Oberlin College, and studied at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
