Research Intern, Power Vacuums Program

Sam Harshbarger is an intern for the Power Vacuums Program in the Human Security Unit where he focuses on research and analysis of the geopolitics of Turkey and the Caucasus. He is currently an undergraduate at Princeton University studying history with a focus on modern Russia, Turkey, and the Caucasus. Sam previously worked at Evergreen Strategy Group and the Syrian Emergency Task Force. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Cranbury, New Jersey.
