Kevin Cowl
Senior Director, Development and Strategic Initiatives
Kevin Cowl serves as the Senior Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives where he leads the integration and execution of ongoing and new initiatives between New Lines Institute, Washington Institute for Education and Research (WIER) Foundation, Keystone College, and various other institutions.
He develops and maintains strategic relationships with business and academic leaders, policymakers, and government agencies.
Cowl sets fundraising/development priorities and proactively leads fundraising efforts for the entire enterprise, working closely with the president and leadership teams at New Lines Institute, Keystone College, and others.
He oversees the rollout and ongoing management of the Institute’s joint graduate degree program, including coordination on regulatory requirements, curriculum development, recruitment, and admission, and manages the rollout of a virtual campus, international student enrollment, study abroad programs, and academic collaboration.
Cowl’s broad experience spans fundraising and development, executive leadership, operations and finance, communications, marketing, membership, grassroots organizing and training. He has 25+ years of senior executive service in diverse sectors. He lives in Maryland with his wife and children and a very large dog.
