Iosif Kovras

Iosif Kovras is a professor of International Relations at the University of Cyprus. His research focuses on political violence, transitional justice, enforced disappearances, and the politics of accountability. He is principal investigator of DISACT, an ERC Consolidator Grant project examining the origins, diffusion, and legacies of enforced disappearances. He is the author of the book “Accountability after Economic Crisis,” published by Oxford University Press in 2025, and several other books and articles on transitional justice, political violence, and human rights.
