Hayley Stone

Program Head and Analyst, Complex Conflict Resolution

Hayley Stone is the program head and analyst for Complex Conflict Resolution, prioritizing innovative solutions and peacebuilding practices for intrastate and interstate conflicts around the world. Her portfolio at New Lines includes work on the Rohingya genocide, the Israel-Palestine conflict and the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Stone is a Middle East specialist and political fashion theorist with previous professional and academic experience including in France, Jordan, and India. Her individual research involves unpacking the relationship between fashion as a tool for public diplomacy and state-level reputation laundering. This work was initiated at the American Graduate School in Paris, where Stone received a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy in 2023. Following her graduation, Stone attended the 2023 Y20 India summit on behalf of UNESCO’s Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development as a panelist on Social Emotional Learning and Youth Peace and Security.

Stone has also received a master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University in 2022 and a bachelor’s in International Relations with a minor in peace studies from Anderson University in 2019.
