Amy K. Mitchell

Amy K. Mitchell is a former member of the Senior Executive Service, has more than twenty years of national security, public diplomacy, international relations, and strategic communications experience in Washington, D.C., having served in a variety of government, non-profit, and media positions. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor for the Office of Global Women’s Issues, where she advised senior department leadership on strategic diplomatic initiatives, specifically in the Indo-Pacific region. Prior to that role, she served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, forging international relationships and overseeing all events at the Department of Defense. Her work has earned her numerous awards, including the Distinguished Public Service Medal. She is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara.
