Future of Space Warfare

Examining how emerging capabilities in space-based systems, anti-satellite weapons, and orbital infrastructure are transforming the strategic environment and creating new domains of military competition.

The Weaponization of Orbit

Space is no longer a sanctuary. China and Russia are developing and deploying anti-satellite capabilities designed to blind U.S. military systems during conflict. From co-orbital weapons to ground-based lasers, adversaries are heavily investing in the ability to contest American space superiority. This project assesses the evolving threat landscape and what it means for deterrence.

Strategic Dependencies

Modern military operations depend on space in ways that create both capability and vulnerability. GPS-guided munitions, satellite communications, and space-based intel all assume access that adversaries are working to deny. Our analysis examines what dependencies are most critical, where redundancy exists, and what investments should be prioritized.
