Dr. Jonathan Schroden is the chief research officer at the Center for Naval Analyses, where he focuses on strategic competition, irregular warfare, Marine Corps and special operations, force design, and strategic and operations assessment. Schroden, in conjunction with the Department of Defense, deployed or traveled 13 times to Afghanistan and twice to Iraq with other deployments in the Middle East. Schroden served as a strategic adviser to the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force in Iraq, U.S. Central Command, and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.
