Anthony Avice Du Buisson is a conflict analyst focused on U.S. foreign policy, security, and human rights issues in the Middle East and Eurasia. His research examines U.S. stabilization efforts, the securitization of conflict-affected areas by non-state actors, and the intersection of international humanitarian law and state-building. He serves as a Research Assistant at American University’s School of International Service, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in International Affairs: Global Governance, Politics, and Security as a Mustafa Barzani Peace Fellow.
Avice Du Buisson has worked as a research assistant, contributing to projects on European security architecture and historical demographic movements in the Levant. He specializes in regional security dynamics in Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Israel. His writing on Middle Eastern and European affairs has been featured in The Jerusalem Post, The Times of Israel, Tibetan Review, Green Left, and the SAIS Journal of Global Affairs, among other outlets.
