Robin Blackburn is the Managing Editor at the New Lines Institute. Blackburn has over two decades of experience in the fields of journalism and geopolitical analysis.
For 12 years, she served as a writer and editor with the private intelligence firm Stratfor. Blackburn has worked as a reporter at several newspapers including the San Marcos Daily Record, New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung, and the Seguin Gazette-Enterprise.
Blackburn is the recipient of several awards from the Texas Press Association and Texas Associated Press Managing Editors (APME) for news and feature writing. She shared the Texas APME Star Online Package with a co-worker for a piece on renters’ rights, and received recognition for her work related to the Texas Open Meetings Act and free speech on university campuses. She was also on the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung staff that won the Texas APME Newspaper of the Year award in 2016.
A graduate of St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, she has been educated in journalistic ethics, world religions and multicultural studies.
