James Snell is a Senior Advisor for Special Initiatives at the New Lines Institute. He was a freelance writer and researcher for the previous decade, covering the Middle East, British and European politics, and society and the arts for numerous international publications.
His research includes the conflicts in Syria, Libya and Iraq, and areas of confrontation between authoritarian and democratic states.
